Question about heart rate during workout on the elliptical machine : Fitness
I’m 62, F, four” 10″, 109 lbs. My son gave me a Fitbit as a present remaining Christmas, which motivated me to beef up my cardiovascular health. The first week I wore the Fitbit, my resting Heart Rate averaged 76 bpm. After doing 30 mins consistent with day on the elliptical machine (five miles) for three months, my moderate HR has dropped to 68 bpm. I’ve been very inspired via the growth I’ve made. However, as of late, for the first time, I discovered that you’ll be able to take a look at HR statistics during the workout (sorry – now not tech savvy). I noticed that my heart is going as much as 187 bpm (in step with the Fitbit)!!! Today’s workout, for instance, displays that I labored at “Peak” HR for 96% of the workout and my moderate HR during the workout used to be 172 bpm – the best HR studying used to be 187 bpm. Is this too top? During the workout I attempt to dash each and every so continuously to problem myself, will have to I prevent doing this?
Also, I need to get started (very slowly) with some power coaching. My gymnasium has a squat machine. Is a squat machine the identical as doing squats? I’m very frightened about hurting my knees and again so I believed I might get started with the machine first?
I respect any recommendation you’ll be able to give me.
